Music is art, audio is art, and the application of audio and sound techniques to music is art! 

 

Right from childhood days, I've been interested in audio, sound, and DJing ... I've been a guest at the studios of Radio Bahrain where I grew up. I used to play radio jockey at home with the system that my Dad bought .. it was a dual Sony cassette deck with an FM transmitter. I used to use the three-digit counter on those devices for cue-ing up to the next track, and marking counter points so I knew where to FWD or RWD to for the next or previous track in the cassette. 

 

Technology has come a LONG way since then, from cassettes to CDs to digital streaming, and I'm very interested in applying tech to music, basically the intersection of music and technology. On the instrument front ... there has been innovation as well .. the era of the hardware based synths like the Kurzweil K2500 to the software platforms (DAWs) to the modern-day integration .. I love to spend my weekend time (whenever possible) with my two Kurzweil synths and my General Music arranger workstation.  

 

I am also passionate about creating audio-visual art forms .. I've been able to work on such projects during Covid-19 pandemic times using fusions of green-screen and SW-based art along with live video recordings.

 

I've had the good fortune of providing audio and sound system services at many Bay Area events including Onam programs at Moham, MACC and Sangama, Church programs at MTCSF and Kanaya, and other private birthday and wedding functions. Most recently, I provided my services at Kerala Fest 2024 (ICC Milpitas) where I supported the cultural programs and two concurrent live bands.
